they had get used to some weird things i had to do. whether it was eating chinese food and cheese cake at the same time. or trying to handle the very high levels of meetings i was required to attend. they were very forthright in their jobs and duties. and i have yet to get the pie in the face. you got to history for that one. anyway, i do enjoy working with the police department. the culture here is solid. the teamwork is no different than the best of the teams that work in san francisco. and someone, myself being a veteran of government in 23 years, i have always felt that our police department is not only the best but i amertainly very proud of each and everyone of you, of the whole police department. and today particularly the 56 who have earned these promotions. and have done all the things that you need to do to lead a department and continue leading in a best fashion. with that i offer my sincere pride and congratulations to each and everyone of you. and congratulations to the whole police department. continue to do the best you

so thank you all very much for coming and visiting us in san francisco city hall. and remember that april 5th, of 1913, they turned the first mound of dirt to build this historic building. and in less than three years, the building was complete. and we opened our doors, december 28th. of 1915. so, hopefully you will all get involved in san francisco city hall centennial celebration. it is truly a magnificent building and it has had many, many incredible individuals serving as mayor of san francisco. and now, we have adolf in the mix here that was once occupied by willie brown, willie brown has moved upstairs. and there is sutro is here. and i think that this will be his permanent place. so, please, enjoy the inscription that is on the pedestal, and the actual bust is incredible. i watched jonas assemble this and polish this on friday. and i was truly amazed. he is truly a very, very talented sculptor who did an incredible fete for san francisco and for san francisco city hall. thank you, again, for all coming to visit us at city hall, please do not be strangers.

earlier this month movements planned and use a workshop around heath rirpz with to police. where we introduced the review to the community. this being our fifth summit based on the police and public relationships we've educated a lot of what the parents feel to be healthy relationships between youth and police. we work closely with the youth commission on a general order and have been doing this for 5 years to make sure that the youth and public voices is where our community members are effected. during our most recent summit we had four officers in attendance that work on housing and poverty who assisted in this workshop. and the pamphlets and other general information and the ruling role of the school community. at burn heights center we're striving for public accountant ability for the community. where the language binds the s r o sz to the contact is important. school officers should be a rows. it shouldn't be a threat to any student and m l o should frame the model relationship that us the community want to see between the public and police >> thank you. >> thank you a
